Families of the Periodic Table Project
Your assignment will be to explain, understand and interpret each family within the periodic table in a Google Presentation. You will need to include a page for each periodic family and please remember to share your document with Mr. Hambly! Here is a list of the families found on the periodic table that you will have to cover:
Metals, Non-metals, Alkali Metals, Alkali Earth Metals, Transition Metals Nobel Gasses and Halogens
In order to properly cover each of these families you will need to do the following:
I. Explain what elements are found within the family
II. What are the characteristics of the elements within the family and why provide reasons for their characteristics e.g. reactivity
III. Where in the world would you find some of these elements and how are they used?
IV. Where are they found on the periodic table
V. Choose one example of an element from within the family and correctly draw a diagram of that elements atom.
